Police Chief Mark Wentz help produced the new brochure and said all are invited to sign up for the neighborhood watch spots, especially street and ward captains, according to the news source. The brochure said captains host meetings and attend quarterly village meetings.

The program had been talked about earlier this summer and came from an incident in May when street signs were spray painted, as well as a neighborhood garage. Village officials will meet with those who volunteer and talk about the program. The News Leader said how quickly the program picks up depends on how fast people volunteer.

"Everything filters from there," Wentz said to the news source. "It's not going to come together right away."

Morning Star Multimedia said to create a good brochure, the purpose must first be decided, then the target audience must be identified before creating it. In this case, the police wanted to get members for the neighborhood watch, and as such they delivered the brochure to people around the village.

"Visit five breweries and receive a hat, 10 breweries and receive a T-shirt or be a trail warrior and visit every darn brewery in the Pine Tree State and receive a special collection of Maine beer gear," Tami Kennedy, spokesperson for the Maine Brewers Guild, told the news source.

The brochure will allow residents to always know where they can find a cold drink, and brewers in the guild are hoping it will help bring people through their doors to sample some of their freshly brewed drinks. The brochure will have pub hours of operation and tour times so visitors can check when they can go before they head out on their hike.

PowerHomeBiz's website said when using a brochure for marketing, businesses should explain the business and know the benefits while giving readers a call-to-action. With this brochure, readers will want to sample all of the different breweries described, which as PowerHomeBiz said provokes actions by pushing the benefits of visiting breweries.

Mount Hermon's Redwood Canopy Tours, a new part of a 105-year-old camp, allows groups to take tours from above the trail, program director Lisa Olson told the news source. The article said rack cards were placed in 12,000 locations from San Francisco to Monterey, and Vicki Tackett of Certified Folder Display Service was impressed and entered the zipline brochure in the contest.

"For an organization to get this right off the get-go is very unusual," Tackett said, adding that the card did what it needed to do, which is get people from different areas of the state interested in doing the zipline tour.

Judges seemed to be impressed with this brochure's cover, which Brochure Monster's website said is important not to waste. The website said the cover is the first thing a costumer will see, so that space should be used to ask a question or show an image that could speak directly to customers.

The majority of Hispanic respondents to a NPF survey said that if they experienced a tremor or shaking, they would "wait to give it more time to go away." Another good way to give a good rundown of information is to tie a business card to the online social media presence. While done on its own, social media may not impress many people. But if a budding or long-time sports professional wants to get their name out there, including the address to a Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or other account could help shed some light on the personality.

GlobalSportsJobs' website said that creating connections on LinkedIn website could help bridge the gap to some important people in a very tight-knit industry, so using business cards to get more connections could be the key to the next job.

"Your business card speaks for you," said Askew, a special education and video production graduate student. "You can put them in the [University Center], by the doors and in restaurants that people go in on a daily basis. It makes people curious."

Askew said he spends about $100 per every thousand cards he prints each year, but says its money well spent. Xavier Jones, another student at University of Memphis, said he prints about 1,000 per year and uses "business card ethics" when handing them out. Jones siad he doesn't treat the business card as flyers and only gives them to people that ask for it, typically. He said he still uses the cards frequently, even as face-to-face interactions have dropped off.

Entrepreneur.com said that for all the weight that goes into what type of card, its design, pictures and other parts, those who make cards should be sure to include the obvious. The website said to include a name, title, company name, address, phone number, email address and website, among other things that most people would be interested in viewing.

Megan Fitzpatrick, Environment New Jersey's clean water associate, said there is more to be done, even though Christie has taken several steps to ensure protections. She said there were 119 beach closings this summer and signs of deterioration at Barnegat Bay.

“We’re calling on [Governor] Christie to tackle this head-on,” said Fitzpatrick, who was joined at a Statehouse press conference by the New Jersey Sierra Club’s Jeff Tittel and Jaclyn Rhoads of the Pinelands Preservation Alliance, according to the Asbury Park Press. The postcards were collected by the Environment New Jersey Group and delivered to Christie. They thanked the governor for his initial steps of protection but said more was needed.

In response, Christie said his environmental record is strong and the ocean is the cleanest that it has ever been. He said the beach didn't see any debris or waste this year and he has put a ban on liquefied natural gas in the ocean. He also opposes offshore drilling on the New Jersey coast.

The event will feature 17 artists in 16 studios with locations in places such as Silver City, Tyrone, Pinos Altos and more, according to the news source. To make it easier for participants to find the studios, a brochure will be available with a map inside showcasing where each gallery is. The brochure also has a description of each studio.

Directional signs will be posted to show where each artist's studio is. Event organizers and artist hope visitors will take advantage of both days of the two-day event o see all of the students, as they are hoping it will become an annual event, the Sun-News reports.

Studio artists have planned the event and brochure so visitors can come and go at their own pace, talk to artists and discover new byways and areas of Silver City as they go between studios.

According to Microsoft's website, an even brochure does not need to be very long or in depth, but instead have pictures and give a short description of what the event is and what is happening, much like the group of artists did for this event.

If the act were signed into law, it would allow certain non-resident and undocumented students to access state financial aid for the first time. The postcards were presented to several members of Brown's staff after a press conference by the students and the author of the bill, the news source said. Joey Freeman, UC Berkeley ASUC external affairs vice president and Jeremy Pilaar, UCSA board member, brought 15 UC Berkeley students to the event to join 65 other students there.

“If we are going to be an equitable institution, then everyone should have a fair shot at higher education,” Freeman said, according to the paper. “I definitely think today was a successful event. It brought attention to a really important issue.”

The group Postcards for Pollies also uses postcards to get the attention of political figures on key issues, according to its website. The Australian group said that sending postcards to politicians sends a message and shows where that message is coming from.
