The artist behind gapingvoid - Hugh MacLeod
"Who'd have thought messaging on a .3.5" x 2" card could change business and disrupt cultures?" - Hugh MacLeod
Hugh cut his teeth in mega ad agencies which he then abandoned in favor of pastoral North of England;
where he started blogging and posting his cartoons on the back of business cards - the little space where all his big ideas start.
He takes complex subjects: Emotions. Business Challenges, Angst and Love and boils them down into a few simple words
and some scribbles that make you stop and think.
Hugh became well known in the on-line world for both his cartooning and his amazing marketing insights and by 2004
gapingvoid.com was one of the most trafficked bogs in the world. Some of of his manifestos such as How to be Creative,
have been downloaded nearly five million times. Hugh has now written two books Ignore Everybody and Evil Plans,
both published by Penguin/Portfolio. Gapingvoid Ltd., Hugh's consulting business counts dozens of businesses as clients.
including Intel, Mircosoft. Nestle, Rackspace and SAP.
Hugh likes to say that his work -helps leaders lead," and helps businesses become more human.
