  1. How do I order Mailing Services for postcards?
  2. In order to place a Mailing Service order, please follow the steps below.

    1. Create an Account using our My Account feature or login to your existing account.

    2. Convert your .XLS spreadsheet to a Text .CSV (Comma Separated Value or Comma Delimited) or a Windows Text .CSV (for MAC users). Go to File, Save As, and change the type from .XLS to .CSV. Please note that we do not mail Internationally (including Puerto Rico and Canada), and we recommend that you remove the International Address(es) prior to upload.

    3. Upload your list to your My Mailing Lists. Please note that although we do not mail Internationally, our system will accept and upload the international addresses. However, those records will be ignored during the validation process for mailing. IF you encounter problems with the upload, please call us for assistance at (888)677-2000, option #5. Our Mailing Services Team is available Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm PST.

    4. Review the USPS Postal Guidelines located under our Design Guide. Be sure to leave the Red areas indicated Free of all Color, Text and Watermarks.

    5. Upload your design file or create it using one of our online design options (Build Your Own Design or Browse Our Designs).

    6. Select your quantity and Glossy UV Coating, where applicable (NOTE: it is only allowed on the Front)

    7. Click CONTINUE to add product to the Shopping Cart. By Continuing, you agree that the spelling, content, and layout of your design is correct.

    8. Once in the Shopping Cart, attach Mailing Services via the "To Apply a Mailing List" drop down menu provided, select the appropriate Mailing List. Note: You will not have the option "To Apply a Mailing List" if there is Glossy UV Coating on the Back of your card.

    9. Select the appropriate Mailing Type (1st CLASS OR STANDARD CLASS), where applicable.

    10. Enter your Shipping Zip Code, if excess, or Billing Zip Code if NO excess is being shipped to you. Click "UPDATE"

    11. If you have 25 or more excess (overages) to be shipped to you, please select the appropriate Shipping Method (we recommend Priority/Standard Ground). Excess less than 25 and/or quantities not requested/selected in the Shopping Cart will automatically be recycled. Also, please note that the Expected Delivery Date is applicable for the excess only, and the mailers will be given to the USPS within 3 Business Days. Please allow an additional 5 business days for delivery via 1st Class Mail and 15 business days for Standard Class Mail. (NOTE: *The USPS does NOT guarantee delivery of Standard Class Mail. Time in transit varies during the Holiday Season.)

    12. Enter any applicable Discount Code and click "REDEEM"

    13. Click "CHECKOUT"

    14. Pay for your order and please provide a valid email address and telephone number.

  5. Is Mailing Services offered for greeting cards?
  6. Yes. Here are step by step directions on how to order greeting cards with Mailing Services:

    1. Convert your .XLS spreadsheet to a Text .CSV (Comma Separated Value or Comma Delimited) or a Windows Text. CSV (for MAC users). Go to File, Save As, and change the type from .XLS to .CSV. Please note that Addressing is limited to (3) three lines (Name, Address and City/State/Zip).

    2. Upload your design file or create it using our online Browse Our Designs.

    3. Choose an option: Upload A List or Enter Addresses Manually

    NOTE: We do not mail Internationally and our printable fields are: First Name, Last Name, Address, City, State and Zip Code.

    Unfortunately, at this time, we are not able to send mailings Internationally nor can we print Company Names. Our printable fields are: First Name, Last Name, Address, City, State and Zip Code. We cannot print any data which is designated "Unknown" or "Do Not Use" during the Upload A List process. (i.e.: Company Name, Titles, Customer Numbers, etc.) We recommend that the International Address(es) be removed prior to upload.

    4. On the Approve and Order screen, select an Envelope color, Mailing Options, etc. and quantity.

    5. Once in the Shopping Cart, enter your Zip Code....this is a system required field. Click "UPDATE"

    6. IF you have excess (overages) to be shipped to you, please select the appropriate Shipping Method (we recommend Priority Ground). Please note that we require 3 business days for production of all Mailing Service orders. The Expected Delivery Date is applicable for the excess only.

    7. Enter any applicable Discount Code and click "REDEEM"

    8. Continue to CHECKOUT"

    9. Pay for your order and please provide a valid email address and telephone number.

  7. Are the same shipping methods available to me as are with a standard order?
  8. No, you may not choose the same shipping methods as are available with a standard Overnight Prints order. 4.25" x 5.5" and 4"x6" postcards will be mailed via First Class mail, whereas 5"x7", 5.5"x8.5" and 6"x11" postcards can be mailed via Standard or First Class mail.

    *Note: "Standard" order denotes orders that have no attached mailing lists.

  9. Can I download my list for use elsewhere?
  10. Yes, if you log in to your Overnight Prints account and open up a mailing list, you can download it to your computer.

  11. Is the cost for postage included in my order total given at time of purchase?
  12. Yes, all costs have been added in to the total shown on the final order screen.

  13. Will the information on my postcards be seen by anybody who is not on my list of addresses? What if I want to put confidential information on these postcards?
  14. Any extra postcards that are printed and not mailed will be thrown away insecurely. Do not put any confidential information into your postcard design.

  15. Can I add my personal address to the mailing list so that I receive an example of the product?
  16. Yes, you have the option of adding one address to the mailing list, and it can be your own.

  17. Will my order be tracked?
  18. Yes, you may check your order status by logging into your My Overnight Prints account. Order status will be updated when your postcards have finished printing and when the postcards have been placed in the mail.

  19. When will my postcards reach my customers?
  20. Mailing Services orders will be printed and mailed within 5 business days of your order date. If you select First Class mail, your customers can receive the postcards within 2-5 business days once they are mailed. If you choose to send your postcards via Standard Mail, your customers can receive the postcards 5-15 business days from the mail date.

    If you have 25 or more excess (overages) to be Shipped to you, please select the appropriate Shipping Method (we recommend Priority/Standard Ground). Excess less than 25 will be automatically recycled. Also, please note that the Expected Delivery Date is applicable for the excess only, and the mailers will be given to the USPS within 3 Business Days for orders with no excess and Priority/Standard Ground or Higher; and within 10 Business Days for Economy. Please allow an additional 5 business days for delivery via 1st Class Mail and 15 business days for Standard Class Mail. Keep in mind, the USPS does NOT guarantee delivery of Standard Mail. Economy orders may take up to 9 days for shipment. Time in transit may vary for Standard and First Class during the holiday season.

  21. What is the refund policy for Mailing Services?
  22. Postage and processing fees can be refunded as long as your order has not been put into the mail. Printing fees can be refunded if your order has not yet printed. You can check your order status by signing in to your Overnight Prints account.

  23. Can I use this mailing list option to send out brochures?
  24. No, the only products that are currently available for use with the mailing list option are postcards and greeting cards. You have the choice of five postcard sizes, either 4.25 x 5.5, 4x6, 5x7, 5.5x8.5 or 6x11 and two greeting card sizes, either 4.25 x 5.5 or 5.5 x 8.5 (folded).

  25. What format should I use to upload my mailing list?
  26. CSV (Comma Separated Value) or XML (Extensible Markup Language).

  27. Must I include a return address on my postcard?
  28. No, you do not need to have a return address on your postcard.

  29. What are the design requirements for sending a postcard through USPS?
  30. Do not:
    • have rounded corners on your postcards
    • include a box for the stamp in your design
    • select full Gloss Coating on the back side of the postcard
    • create mail designs containing any pornographic or illegal material because they will not be mailed

  31. What services am I paying for when I purchase Mailing Services?
  32. You are paying for ink jet addressing of the postcards, a merge/purge, CASS Certification (Coding Accuracy Support System), Postal Standardization, Postal Presorting, Data Conversions, custom programming, postage, and data confidentiality.

  33. Can I apply my non-profit status to postage for Mailing Services?
  34. Not at this time.

  35. What happens if many of the addresses on my list are invalid or my list is badly formatted and my postcards cannot be mailed?
  36. Overnight Prints' customer service team will contact you and let you know, giving you three options:

    • We can clean up your list for you (minimum $45.00 charge, depending on the number of records)
    • We can mail the valid addresses and ship the unused postcards back to your address
    • or you can reformat and resubmit your list.
  37. Will Overnight Prints save my mailing list after I upload, or create it?
  38. Yes, Overnight Prints will store your mailing list to your My Overnight Prints account in the Mailing Lists section. If you previously purchased a list from InfoUSA through us, the list will be saved in your My Account.

    Unfortunately, we do not store any list that was either uploaded or inputted into our system for holiday cards. If you wish to mail holiday cards often, we recommend creating a CSV file of your contacts so you can simply upload the list each time. The required fields for this file are First Name, Last Name, Address, City, State, and Zip Code.

  39. Can I use my own mailing permit?
  40. At this time, you may not use your own mailing permit.

  41. How long is my previously purchased list saved in My Account for?
  42. Your previously purchased list will be saved in your My Account for one year from the date purchased.

  43. Can I get the extra holiday cards sent to me?
  44. Yes. If you would like excess (overages) to be shipped to you, please select the appropriate Shipping Method. Please note that we require 3 business days for production of all Mailing Service orders. The Expected Delivery Date is applicable for the excess only.
