That's her motto. Melissa Severson, owner and founder of Honey Bee Ink Graphic Design specializes in small business branding. She's known for her tasteful, whimsical designs. Beyond that she says each piece must tell a story – a story that illustrates the qualities that distinguish each brand from its competitors. She has a flair for discerning even the most subtle differences that make a brand unique and special. She pours her heart and soul into each design, whether it is a mural painting, furniture restoration or postcard announcement.
Her perfectionism and meticulous attention to aesthetics is woven through all things in her life. She adds this same TLC and personal touch to designing and beautifying her chicken coops.
Perhaps her fervor for "all things beautiful" stems from the exquisite charm and undeniable romance of the South. A Texas native, Melissa attended a tiny high school, where she was a student ambassador to Great Britain and emerged at the top of her class as valedictorian.
Maybe her passion for exquisite beauty is rooted in her Southern upbringing, coupled with her formal education. Melissa attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where she pursued a degree in business marketing.
Shortly afterwards, she met the love of her life who became her photographer husband. The two traveled throughout the U.S. and Caribbean, doing commercial photography. Later she started her graphic design business and now partners with her husband, working together to make things look beautiful, tasteful and stylish.
Melissa's latest adventure involves relocating to San Marcos, Texas, where she will continue with Honey Bee Graphic Design. She also looks forward to immersing herself in the Urban Agriculture movement by raising chickens, gardening, and composting...and you better believe she will make sure even the chickens and their coops are beautiful...Nothing short of perfect for this lady.

Meet Bocker the Labradoodle

Even as a very young pup, Bocker the Labradoodle pondered where his life would lead and what his purpose would be. With his captivating head tilt, flair for fashion, and natural aptitude for community service, this exceptional Labradoodle has earned worldwide love and recognition, 5000 Facebook fans, his own website, and that's just the beginning.
Bocker's remarkable temperament and magnetic personality has catapulted him to runway modeling, posing for upscale fashion brands, including Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. He was even cast for a scene in the Julia Roberts movie, Eat Pray Love.
Bocker also loves bringing joy and laughter to kids and adults in need, while working as a therapy dog. His latest stints include working with children at Sandy Hook Elementary, and reading with kids, for the Tail Wagging Tutor program. Now, with the release of his first book, Chasing Bocker's Tale, he and his mom add author to their credits.
Bocker is one well rounded busy doodle. At nine years he is considered to be the Spokes dog for Animal Advocacy. He's always happy to sport a tuxedo too, when making red carpet appearances and attending VIP charity events. This lovable ball of fur is always ready to lend a paw to those in need (both two legged and four legged). And even with all of this fuss, he remains even keeled and tender. You could say he never gets his curls in a knot.

They have booked over two dozen mini photo shoot sessions for an upcoming super Saturday. Each client will receive the same meticulous attention to detail, in a 20 minute photo-shoot. All proceeds will go to their family friend who is relocating his family to Tanzania.
It's evident the Ballentine's look at photography as much more than a job. They see it as a way to meet new people, give clients as much love and attention as they can, and create magnificent memories. The Ballentine's have a one year old daughter named Iris Danielle, and live in what they lovingly refer to as the picturesque charming town of Loveland, Ohio.

The owner, Michael Schwarzer, originally from Nurenberg, Germany, was only 14, when he watched in awe as his older brother trained under Vidal Sassoon. Michael began dreaming of the day he would become a renowned hairdresser – traveling around the world, designing show-stopping hair.
He trained under elite European masters, and worked as a stylist in Germany and London for more than fifteen years. He developed artistic flair, confidence, and all the expertise he needed, to pursue his dream - moving to his ultimate destination, New York City.

He announced with exhilaration at eight years old, that he wanted to be a photographer. Equipped with a shiny post world-war II camera, and un-stoppable drive, Alan sold his first photo at age ten. He's been on the fast track ever since. Today, more than 40 years later he has attained that goal and is still moving full speed ahead. He's set foot in more than 75 countries on five continents, and swiftly added at least a dozen skills to his portfolio. A short list includes: journalist, graphic designer, video editor, entrepreneur, pilot and father of five.
When asked about his all-time favorite assignments, Alan beams as he describes the sheer adrenaline and joy he felt when he got to fly in an F-14.
...There are few things in life that come close to sitting in a lightly-loaded F-14 doing a full-afterburner takeoff. It is amazing. Zero to 155 MPH in the time it takes most muscle cars to get to 60 MPH.
Perhaps though, his most impressive role is that of humanitarian. He speaks humbly about his involvement in www.aerobridge.org – a nonprofit disaster relief organization. In response to the 2010 catastrophic earthquake in Haiti, AERObridge quickly moved over 1.5 million pounds of medicine, food and emergency equipment into the country, and promptly evacuated nearly 4,000 adults and orphans to the U.S.
Alan also proudly tells the story of flying to New Mexico with AERObridge – to pick up a woman who was plagued with a rare terminal illness that had nearly crippled her. Through generous donations AERObridge expeditiously transported her to Seattle, where she received world class treatment. That trip ultimately saved her life.
