Stationery is not always the most Exciting of print products! I have seen many business cards, letterhead, and envelope sets that have filled me with design despair with their lack of vision and originality! Unfortunately, I suspect that designers don’t give stationery enough thought and create something that is little more than a logo and line of text on a bit of paper!!!
It doesn’t have to be so! Excellent article!! I know when I first started designing, the entire print side of things was wild and really hard to comprehend – why would my nice, bright designs come back from the printers all dull?! I didn’t get it, b’coz it’s not talked about adequate, even at uni. So thanks for this article. The more we all talk about it, the better.
